Today, as Lili was in the kitchen making her favourite healthy cake she became inspired to tweak the recipe. When asked why, she replied, ‘I dunno’ (translation: I don’t know).
When probed further Lili reluctantly admitted that she would now be revising the original posted recipe. Yes, she felt that it was the way to go. A little more liquid, but proportionally less lime and orange blossom. She also mentioned she’d mistakenly used salted pistachio nuts but found this actually benefitted the cake. When asked how, this rather tired and dishevelled ‘patissier’ mumbled something about balance then again muttered ‘I dunno’.
Our intrepid reporter finally left the kitchen upon being threatened with a rolling pin, but not before managing to photograph the revised cake and shouting ‘give us a piece to try, luv!’
