Week (1) of cakes! Eating then photo-collaging the evidence

Cake news and fun

Greetings sweet reader!  Starting a new weekly series – a resumé of the cakes I made in the week – having discovered Photostatic Collage and finally (finally!) getting my head around it to make it work! 🙂  Technology is not really my friend but I was inspired by my fellow 101 bloggers who have been happily experimenting away with galleries and suchlike – thanks!Week 1 of cakes

For those of you actually waiting for recipes (I know you’re out there), you probably need a little more than cake photos and I’m sorry it’s taking a while.  I had a complete break from cake making and blogging at the weekend.  Rock climbing Saturday and hiking in the hills Sunday (followed by delicious Paella – wish I’d taken a photo).  Did get some of the climbing and couscous we ate afterwards.  Yum.

And I can even link this to cakes! (I can link anything to cakes).   Sitting on the rock I gave my lovely new climbing friends some healthy lime, orange blossom and pistachio cake and they gave it the big thumbs up.  They’re asking for more cakes in the future, so looks like I’ve found more testers!  Anyone in Barcelona welcome to apply for this arduous job.  Do you have the stomach for it? 🙂

Recipes for the photo-collage cakes coming soon: Ginger and mint American lime pie, Ginger and cardamon apple tart, Croissants and Lemon mint macarons.  Maybe not the Marmite and chocolate croissants… will think about that!  Anyone out there want that recipe?!

Happy blogging, eating, making or looking at cakes! 🙂

Making cakes with my French mother on Sundays was an important part of my childhood. As an adult I then experimented with baking books and internet recipes and did a great patisserie course in Le Cordon Bleu Paris. I'm still trying out new recipes and creating some of my own cakes with influences from all around the world, adding some healthy ones to the repertoire. Yes, I love cakes!!! :)

    • Thank you! That’s very nice of you to say so and I’m glad you like it. The rock climbing might get a mention though it is a cake blog. I usually take cake with me when I go climbing 🙂 Do you climb? Oh, and will be checking your blog out too!
