Another week of hard work making sweet stuff!  And possibly some confused readers who are wondering what’s up with the swing from easy no-bake, no-churn, sugar-free, gluten-free and dairy-free healthy berry nice banana ice-cream pie to the more complex chocolate and bergamot charlotte russe with real cream!  But you’ve probably realised there are both healthy and ‘almost-healthy’ treats on this blog, as there is in my diet. 🙂week 21

For people who prefer fast and easy treats, you can make just the amazing bergamot or chocolate mousses from the charlotte.  And if you’re hot, a daily (or twice daily) slice of the ice-cream pie actually energises you and makes you feel good!  I have it with a little of my new upcoming black sesame and vanilla ice-creamDSCF2765Of course while I’m standing there happily digging desserts out of the freezer, I can’t help but see yummy stuff in the fridge section:  the super delicious, addictive little balls of condensed milk and coconut, lovely Brazilian Beijinhos de coco.  I put a few bits and pieces in them but the traditional recipe’s at Diana’s Little bits of nice (thank you Diana!) and I’ll be posting about them this week.  Luckily a few healthy Lime Lamingtons and bliss balls just happen to be sitting next to these yummy Beijinhos, otherwise they’d have all ‘been disappeared’ by now!Yup, can’t complain.  I do enjoy my little visits to the fridge, with a lovely selection of frozen or refrigerated treats handy.  All stuff that actually stays in peak yummy condition!  Contented sigh… 🙂

Making cakes with my French mother on Sundays was an important part of my childhood. As an adult I then experimented with baking books and internet recipes and did a great patisserie course in Le Cordon Bleu Paris. I'm still trying out new recipes and creating some of my own cakes with influences from all around the world, adding some healthy ones to the repertoire. Yes, I love cakes!!! :)
