Another week of hard work making sweet stuff! And possibly some confused readers who are wondering what’s up with the swing from easy no-bake, no-churn, sugar-free, gluten-free and dairy-free healthy berry nice banana ice-cream pie to the more complex chocolate and bergamot charlotte russe with real cream! But you’ve probably realised there are both healthy and ‘almost-healthy’ treats on this blog, as there is in my diet. 🙂
For people who prefer fast and easy treats, you can make just the amazing bergamot or chocolate mousses from the charlotte. And if you’re hot, a daily (or twice daily) slice of the ice-cream pie actually energises you and makes you feel good! I have it with a little of my new upcoming black sesame and vanilla ice-cream. Of course while I’m standing there happily digging desserts out of the freezer, I can’t help but see yummy stuff in the fridge section: the super delicious, addictive little balls of condensed milk and coconut, lovely Brazilian Beijinhos de coco. I put a few bits and pieces in them but the traditional recipe’s at Diana’s Little bits of nice (thank you Diana!) and I’ll be posting about them this week. Luckily a few healthy Lime Lamingtons and bliss balls just happen to be sitting next to these yummy Beijinhos, otherwise they’d have all ‘been disappeared’ by now!Yup, can’t complain. I do enjoy my little visits to the fridge, with a lovely selection of frozen or refrigerated treats handy. All stuff that actually stays in peak yummy condition! Contented sigh… 🙂
Hoping you have a lovely selection of treats on hand too sweet reader! I bid you farewell (I’m off to the fridge) and I wish you a lovely week ahead! Take it easy and have loads of treats! Happy baking or no-baking! 🙂 x
P.S. I’ll be posting about the informal mini July soufflé challenge this week. You can check out the Soufflé Pinterest board if you’d like to start looking at recipes for inspiration!
