Hello sweet reader! Nice to see you again! Here’s my little healthy rum and orange fruitcake-cake anglais, made with spelt flour, honey, light brown muscovado sugar and lots of yummy dried fruits and nuts!
And this is the recipe:
Yes, it’s invisible. And not because I made an invisible cake (granted there would be numerous health and diet benefits). No, no, no…
Actually, it’s because I’m doing a Guest Post for the first time, with capital letters and in bold :). I was asked to design a recipe for a cheerful and friendly fellow blogger and biker I met on our Blogging 101 course. You may know him, name of Dookes. Here he is:
I’m sure you’d like to meet him. And if you visit Hogrider Dookes you’ll see some beautiful scenery of places like the Alps and Cornwall – one of my favourite places in the UK. And of course you’ll find the non-invisible version of my recipe with The story of the healthy fruitcake-cake anglais recipe for a biker on the road (just linked it for you there). There’ll be drawings too of course and it’s a lovely cake, whether you’re on your bike, hiking, climbing, doing sports, shopping, on a mountain or just home at teatime.
Lots more story and drawings at Dookes’ site. But don’t put off your visit for too long because he might be taking off on his Harley in a minute. Roads to travel, fresh air to breathe and fruitcake-cake anglais to eat along the way!
Ah, if only I could bring myself to leave the kitchen.
So bye for now sweet reader and happy visiting! 🙂
P.S. This could be part of a new ‘special cake for you’ series, so if you’d also like a recipe story for your blog, let me know!
P.P.S. I hope my fellow Friday Fiesta partygoers don’t mind me coming with an invisible recipe. I’ll still bring the virtually real cake for you! 🙂
A very moist and yummy looking cake. Love the way you introduced Dookes. U draw soo well. 🙂
